This year’s recipients represent Roosevelt High School and Roosevelt Middle School and exemplify leadership, service, and character in powerful ways:
Dakota Bernard, a junior at Roosevelt High School, has built a legacy of service through 4-H, FFA, and Weld County Fair Royalty. She leads with quiet strength and compassion, consistently mentoring others and encouraging them to grow in confidence and leadership.
Allana Cote, a junior at Roosevelt High School, has transformed her leadership of The Exchange into a space rooted in connection and belonging. Through her positivity and intentional leadership, she ensures students feel welcomed, supported, and valued.
CharLee Davis, a senior at Roosevelt High School, leads through reliability, humility, and action. Balancing school, work, and service, she creates an environment where others feel supported and included.
Shelby Gilliam, a junior at Roosevelt High School, is recognized for her courage and resilience in fostering spaces for respectful dialogue. Her leadership has helped create an environment where students feel heard, respected, and encouraged to share their perspectives.
Emma Jex, a senior at Roosevelt High School, has woven service into every part of her life through health initiatives, tutoring, athletics, and the arts. She approaches each opportunity with compassion and purpose, consistently working to uplift those around her.
Abigail Johnson, a junior at Roosevelt High School and the 2026 Colorado Ms. Amazing, brings joy and connection to her school community. Through her involvement in Unified programs and The Exchange, she helps others feel seen, valued, and included.
Elizabeth Langley, a sophomore at Roosevelt High School, is an emerging leader whose energy and initiative have already made a strong impact. Through her involvement in FFA, she motivates others while creating opportunities for growth and participation.
Jayden Lewark, a freshman at Roosevelt High School, has quickly made her mark through kindness, leadership, and service. Her involvement in Interact, athletics, and community initiatives reflects her strong character and ability to connect with others.
Ashleigh Sassano, a senior at Roosevelt High School, leads with compassion and purpose in her service to others. Her dedication to supporting children and families highlights her commitment to making a meaningful difference beyond the classroom.
Colten Schlagel, a senior at Roosevelt High School, is recognized for his humility, integrity, and dedication to mentoring others. Through his involvement in athletics and student organizations, he consistently invests in younger students and leads by example.
Lucy Schmidt, an eighth grader at Roosevelt Middle School, demonstrates servant leadership through her commitment to helping others. Whether mentoring younger students or serving her community, she consistently puts others first with quiet compassion.
Jasiel Tovar, a senior at Roosevelt High School, is known for his energy and ability to bring people together. Through his leadership and involvement, he creates inclusive spaces that foster connection and a strong sense of belonging.
Through programs like the Teen Impact Awards, the Johnstown Milliken Rotary Club shines a light on the incredible impact of local youth while reinforcing its dedication to “Service Above Self.” These awards are more than recognition—they are a celebration of the character, compassion, and quiet acts of leadership that often happen behind the scenes. Each student honored represents the very best of our community and serves as a reminder of the powerful difference young people can make.
